Bio

Naquan “Nate” Smith attended Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta, Georgia where lettered in 3 sports: football, baseball, and track. He received a football scholarship at Grambling State University as defensive back. During his time there, Nate had a career total of 186 tackles and 8 interception. Named All-SWAC 2nd-Team Defense, receiving The Iron Man Award and Marine Crop Leadership Award. Nate is also a National Black College champion and a two time SWAC Conference Champion.

Nate received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and his Master’s degree in Sports Administration. Nate began his career interning in the Office of Academic Enhancement at Grambling State University where he gained quality experience by mentoring his fellow peers and freshmen student-athletes. He successfully helped them adapt to college life and the rigorous schedule that is demanded of them by teaching life skills workshops. He moved to Texas in 2016 with his wife and kids where he became a certified personal trainer and now is also a Medical Exercise Specialist for Beyond Fitness. In 2017, he trained numerous of middle and high school athletes in South East TX in sports performance to increase their speed, strength, agility and vertical.
