Sarah Brown was born and raised in Austin, Texas! She attended Westwood High School and played volleyball and basketball. She was a six-rotation outside hitter and earned 1st Team All-District, Academic All-District, Offensive MVP and District Newcomer of the Year. She played for Texas Fury where she was recruited to play NCAA Division I volleyball at University of Houston. Sarah started all four seasons as a 6 rotation Outside Hitter, voted as team captain her junior and senior year, was the 2016 leading scorer, and received and American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll award. This is her 6th season coaching club for XCEL and 9th year for her coaching career.
